Member schemes assess suppliers against the same HSE-approved core criteria and recognise valid certification issued by other SSIP members. This reduces unnecessary duplication while giving buyers a consistent threshold for reviewing health and safety arrangements.

A successful application requires more than completing an online questionnaire. Policies, procedures and records must be current, relevant to the work undertaken and supported by evidence showing how health and safety is managed within the business. Applications can be delayed when information is incomplete, inconsistent or prepared without considering the specific scheme requirements.
